After talking to Bart Crews of Blair & Company, I have come to realize that although I’m pretty comfortable doing my taxes and running my books, I still do it so rarely that I don’t have the insight that Bart and his crew can provide. I registered back in 2006 as an LLC, being self-employed I thought I had to pay self-employment tax. Well in my case being a solo gun at the moment Bart told me I could file as an S-Corp and spare myself the extra tax. That’s pretty awesome considering I’m just trying to get both my business and my family going… every dollar helps.

Bart has a lot of knowledge in how things should be set up and how to protect yourself. If you run a business, it’s probably a good idea to get a CPA to ensure you’re doing things correctly. If the IRS ever comes to you for an audit, you’ll be in the clear.

I picked up this guitar when I was fifteen years old. It was my second guitar and it has seen many stages and been in many bands. It is a great guitar but it does have a busted paint job on the last corner and needs a service to be “set up”. With a few tweaks, this guitar will be rockin in no time.

Schecter 7-String

In the early 2000′s bands like Jacksonville’s own Limp Bizkit and Korn started using these 7 string guitars to get a really low crunchy sound. The seventh string is an additional B low-end string. This is a beautiful guitar and is in good condition but has some fret wear on the higher frets.

Washburn – Bass – 4 String

This bass was my second bass. It’s a great bass and has had it’s number of nights in the bars around Jacksonville. From Jack Rabbits to Freebirds this bass has thumped itself silly. It could use a set-up to adjust the strings as they sit a little high up from the neck but it’s would make a cool little jamming bass for learning. I’d keep it but have decided to keep my 5-string bass.
